The Fortnite themed activity is designed to capture students’ attention by integrating the popular video game into a physical education setting. The game involves students being divided into two teams, finding a spot in the gym, and then trying to roll balls at each other to hit opponents below the knees. The balls come in different colors, representing different levels of ‘power’ or ‘resources’, similar to the game mechanics in Fortnite.
