Embark on an epic adventure with Mortals and Myths, the virtual escape room inspired by the latest Fortnite season, Myths and Mortals. Designed for middle and high school students, Mortals and Myths challenges players to use their wits and knowledge of ancient Greek mythology to solve puzzles and unlock the secrets of hidden Olympian chests. Each room in the escape room presents a unique mission, steeped in mythological lore and mystery.
Room 1: The Throne of Zeus Enter the grand hall where Zeus’s throne dominates the space. Surrounded by a mural of the sky, players must harness the power of the lightning token to illuminate the room and reveal hidden messages.
Room 2: The Abyss of Poseidon Dive into Poseidon’s underwater realm, where coral structures and shimmering lights create an otherworldly atmosphere. Listen to the echoes of the waves and count the seashells in a hidden chest to solve Poseidon’s puzzle.
Room 3: The Underworld of Hades Venture into the mystical darkness of Hades’ domain. Use the lantern to navigate the whispers of ancient souls and the silent flow of the River Styx, uncovering letters that spell out a secret word vital for your escape.
Room 4: The Golden Chamber Step into the Golden Chamber, where everything you touch turns to gold by Midas’s magic. Decode the letters found in the mystical book to discover the secret phrase that will lead you to the next challenge.
Room 5: The Labyrinth of Daedalus Navigate the twisting paths of Daedalus’s Labyrinth. Decipher his riddles and answer a series of questions to find the hidden exit and complete your mythical quest.

Important Note: While this game is inspired by Fortnite, there are not references to guns or shooting in this game. The inspiration comes from the style of art, dropping into maps, finding hidden chests and gathering magical items throughout the game.
Overview
Virtual escape rooms are FUN! If you are a teacher you can expect cheers and excited faces when you announce that a virtual escape room is on the agenda. But they aren’t just for students! They can also turn an online corporate event into an exciting, interactive experience that everyone will be talking about!
Virtual escape rooms require very little prep (just click a link!), and it is completely self-checking. Participants will not be able to progress through the escape room unless they get the answers correct. Anybody with a computer and an internet connection can complete this activity.
The escape room is accessible through a Genially link which does not need any user ID, email account or login information. We have yet to see any escape rooms blocked by a domain however it’s a good idea to check using one of our free escape rooms to make sure that all links work for your participants.
