Karly Moura: The Creator of Virtual Escape Rooms

Hi! My name is Karly Moura and my passion is creating high quality, fun and engaging virtual escape rooms for all ages. I was a classroom teacher for over 15 years and now work at Ditch That Textbook which creates content for educators all over the world.

Escape rooms have always been a favorite activity with every age group I’ve worked with from kindergarteners to adults! You can use escape rooms in the classroom, at the office, in a virtual event, at a birthday party or even just at home for fun.

My students have loved using these gems created by Karly Moura over the past few years. The holiday themed designs were great ways to have fun on those days before a break when "traditional" teaching gets rough. A fan favorite was the Harry Potter room. I didn't know any of it, but the kids did. And they had a blast. Even during virtual learning, my students and I enjoyed trying out some of these together via Zoom screen share. The virtual escape rooms created by Karly Moura are amazing! I teach 4th grade so they are motivated by the challenges! Some escape rooms are easier, which teaches them how to do them. Then, there are more challenging ones that students are excited to do! Not only are the escape rooms fun, the students learn many different skills quickly! This is because they are excited by the challenge and are motivated to "escape." There are a range of topics to also do! I love the themed escape rooms!
